Fourmile Lake Campground
Fourmile Lake Campground is in the Fremont-Winema National Forest, one hour northwest of Klamath Falls and about an hour east of Medford. To the north is the 113,400-acre Sky Lakes Wilderness. Many campers use the campground at Fourmile Lake as a jumping off place for hikes or horseback rides into the wilderness or on the Pacific Crest Trail. Fourmile Lake is popular for canoeing, kayaking, and fishing. Picturesque views of Mount McLoughlin, although not quite as close up as shown above, are enjoyed from many spots along the lake's shoreline.
Fourmile Lake Campground has 29 forested campsites for RVs, trailers, and tents. Nine of the sites are designated for those with horses. The equestrian sites are doubles, with space for up to 12 people. They have corrals and stock loading facilities nearby. Many campsites can be reserved ahead of time, while a few are set aside as first-come-first served sites.
