Whispering Falls Campground
Whispering Falls Campground rests along the North Santiam River in the Willamette National Forest. Visitors to the campground enjoy its towering conifers and lush vegetation, including hemlock, rhododendron and ferns. Anglers do well fishing for rainbow trout in the river. Hikers find many good trails such as those in the Mt. Jefferson-Pamelia Lake area and the Coffin Mountain Trails. Detroit Lake is only 9 miles downstream.
Whispering Falls Campground has 16 campsites for RVs, trailers, and tents. Four of the sites are pull-throughs, and 6 are listed as waterfront. Mature trees provide food shade for all the campsites. Two campsites are listed as doubles for up to 12 people rather than the standard 8. Most sites may be reserved ahead of arrival, but some may be available first-come, first-served.

In order to prevent the spread of invasive insects, firewood from outside the area is not permitted.
