Detroit Lake State Recreation Area Campground
Detroit Lake State Recreation Area is on the north shore of Detroit Lake in the Willamette National Forest. Visitors to the 9-mile-long lake enjoy fishing, boating, and water skiing. Also in the Recreation Area are playgrounds, designated swim areas, horseshoe pits, and volleyball and basketball courts. A pair of boat docks and launch ramps are available. It is no wonder that Detroit Lake is such a popular vacation destination for Orgonians.
Detroit Lake State Recreation Area Campground features 270 campsites. Among those, 107 have full hook-ups, 68 have water and electric hook-ups, and 95 are tent sites. Boat mooring may also be reserved to go along with campsite reservations. Some campsites near the highway may experience some noise.
Included in the campground is one Mini Rustic Cabin that sleeps up to 3. If you set up a tent outside, you can add 2 more people. The cabin has electric heating and lighting, a refridgerator, and a microwave. The rate includes a $10 pet fee which can be refunded if you have no pets.
