North Waldo Campground is the most popular campground at Lake Waldo in Oregon's Willamette National Forest. Lake Waldo is one of the largest natural lakes in Oregon. It's water is known for its clarity, allowing visitors to see to a depth of 120 feet. The only motorboats permitted on the lake are those with electric motors. Sailing, kayaking, and paddleboarding are popular. Trails circle the lake and lead off into the Waldo Lake Wilderness.
North Waldo Campground features 58 campsites for RVs, trailers, and tents in a forest of Western Hemlock and Douglas fir. Three campsites are walk-in, tents-only sites. The campground is known as one of the prettiest in the state. Reservations for the many of the campsites are available. A number of campsites are kept available for first-come, first-served use.
General Camping Information
Opening and closing dates of campgrounds are only estimates, usually dependent on weather conditions. Not all campsites can accommodate trailers or RVs of all lengths. Check carefully on the website when you make your reservation to be sure your vehicle will fit your campsite.
In order to prevent the spread of invasive insects, firewood from outside the area is not permitted.
