Oak Fork Campground
Oak Fork Campground sits on the southeastern shore of beautiful, 1,500-acre Timothy Lake. Oak Fork is one of 7 popular campgrounds around the lake operated jointly by Portland General Electric and the Forest Service.
Timothy Lake has a reputation for its good fishing for Kokanee, eastern brook trout, and rainbow trout. The lake is one of the best crawdad (crayfish) spots in the area. Motorized boats are permitted with a 10 MPH speed limit. Non-motorized boats such as sailboat, kayaks, and canoes are often seen on the lake.
Oak Fork Campground has 44 campsites. Thirty-six of the sites can accommodate RVs, trailers, and tents. Another 8 sites are walk-in tent campsites. Good shade is found throughout the campground. Six of the sites are pull-throughs. Most sites may be reserved ahead of arrival date, while some sites are kept as first-come, first-served sites. Six sleeping cabins are also available.
Notice: "In response to visitor feedback, we have changed select sites to a 2-week reservation window. These appear as "NR - Not Yet Released" until the reservation window opens. Other sites are still on the 6-month reservation window."
