Indian Henry Campground
Indian Henry Campground is along the Clackamas River in the Mt. Hood National Forest. This popular campground has suffered from laminated root rot in recent years, which forced the Forest Service to close portions of the campground while removing infected trees. More recently the Riverside Fire damaged the campgound, and the campground is currently closed. (2023)
Indian Henry Campground provides good access to the Clackamas River for fishing and hiking along riverside trails. The Clackamas River Trail is open to hiking and mountain biking. From the campground, the trail extends 8 miles up the river.
Indian Henry Campground has 86 campsites when it is fully open. Thirty-six of the sites can accommodate RVs, trailers, and tents. Forty-six sites are designated for tents only. Some sites are available first-come, first-served; but most campsites can be reserved prior to arrival.
