Memaloose State Park Campground
Memaloose State Park is in the Columbia River Gorge, 14 miles west of The Dalles. The park is a favorite stopping place for those exploring the river. Tall cottonwoods, maples, and willows provide welcome shade on summer days, and a gentle breeze sweeps down the valley. A playground in the park keeps children engaged. At night visitors gather in open areas to gaze the stars. There is no safe or legal river access from the park.
Memaloose State Park Campground features 109 campsites for RVs, trailers, and tents. Full hook-ups are available at 43 of the sites. Some campsites have wonderful river views. This popular campground fills early. Campers do pick up some highway and train noise.
