Yukwah Campground
Yukwah Campground sits along the South Santiam River in the Willamette National Forest, 8 miles east of Cascadia. Anglers find good fishing for trout in the river. The Yukwah Nature Trail and others in the area offer plenty of opportunities for exploring. Hikers and mountain bikers take to the Santiam Wagon Road (now a trail). A campground trail follows the river and leads to an accessible viewing and fishing pier.
Yukwah Campground offers 20 campsites. All campsites can accommodate tents and about half have space for RVs or trailers. Some sites front the river. Douglas fir and hemlock trees provide nice shade to all the campsites. Two double sites can accommodate up to 12 people rather than the usual 8. Five campsites are pull-throughs.
General Camping Information
Opening and closing dates of campgrounds are only estimates, usually dependent on weather conditions. Not all campsites can accommodate trailers or RVs of all lengths. Check carefully on the website when you make your reservation to be sure your vehicle will fit your campsite.
In order to prevent the spread of invasive insects, firewood from outside the area is not permitted.
