House Rock Campground
House Rock Campground is spread through a forest of old-growth Douglas firs at the confluence of Sheep Creek and the South Santiam River. The campground is 14 miles east of Cascadia. The House Rock Trail begins in the day-use area of the campground, soon crosses a bridge and leads to 40-foot House Rock Falls. Along the way the trail passes historic House Rock, a shelter used by Native Americans and pioneers. Anglers fish the river for trout. Swimming is enjoyable in nearby river pools when water levels are safe.
House Rock Campground has 16 campsites. Half can accommodate RVs and trailers and all have space for tents. Many campsites are waterfront. Old-growth trees provide good shade for most campsites.
