Whitcomb Creek County Park Campground
Whitcomb Creek County Park is on a peninsula jutting into Green Peter Reservoir east of Sweet Home. The 328-acre park is operated by Linn County Parks. Popular activities in the park include hiking, fishing, sailing, water skiing, and bird watching. A lush forest setting with an abundance of ferns surrounds the campground. Campsites are about a mile from lake access.
Whitcomb Creek County Park Campground offers 85 campsites for RVs, trailers, and tents. None of the sites have hook-ups. Several are designated as tent sites and a few others are double sites. The campground is well shaded by mature trees and is arranged inland from the reservoir in 3 loops. Water is available from two hand-pumps in the campground.
A 3-night minimum stay is required for Memorial Day and Labor Day weekend reservations. Two nights are required for other weekends and on the 4th of July holiday. The campground includes a Group Camp.
