Eel Creek Campground
Eel Creek Campground is in the Siuslaw National Forest on the edge of the Oregon Dunes National Recreation Area, 10 miles south of Reedsport. Visitors at the campground take advantage of nearby Eel Lake for boating, swimming and fishing as well as Tenmile Lake for waterskiing and fishing. The adjacent area of the Oregon Dunes is closed to off-road vehicles, making it an excellent place for those on foot to enjoy the spectacular dunes. The John Dellenback Dunes Trail provides access to the dunes. OHV enthusiasts head down to the Sprinreel OHV Staging Area.
Eel Creek Campground has 38 campsites in two loops. The southern loop is closest to Eel Creek, but also to the highway. Some campsites rest among the dunes; others enjoy more secluded settings, shielded by coastal shrubs and conifers. Most of the campsites can accommodate RVs, trailers, and tents. One site is a double. Two sites are designated for tents only. A minimum 2-night stay is required for reservations on weekends and 3 nights on holiday weekends.
