Diamond Lake Campground
Diamond Lake Campground is spread for a mile along the east shore of Diamond Lake in the Umpqua National Forest, 83 miles east of Roseburg. Every year the popular lake draws visitors to its shores.
Many set out on the water for fishing or just pleasure cruising (10 MPH speed limit). Cyclists and hikers take advantage of the 11-mile, paved trail around the lake. Crater Lake National Park is only 15 miles to the south.
Diamond Lake Campground is one of Oregon's premier camping spots. The campground features 238 campsites. Fifty-one of the sites have premium, lakeside locations. More secluded campsites are found a little farther inland among the trees. Campsites on G, H, an M Loops can be reserved. Those on K and L Loops are first-come, first served.
General Camping Information
Opening and closing dates of campgrounds are only estimates, usually dependent on weather conditions. Not all campsites can accommodate trailers or RVs of all lengths. Check carefully on the website when you make your reservation to be sure your vehicle will fit your campsite.
In order to prevent the spread of invasive insects, firewood from outside the area is not permitted.
