Big Lake Campground
Big Lake Campground rests on the north shore of Big Lake, several miles north of Mt. Washington in the Willamette National Forest. Stunning views of Mt. Washington can be enjoyed from along the shore of the lake.
Big Lake is a popular destination for boating, water skiing, swimming, and fishing. Excellent hiking trails are nearby, including the Patjens Lakes Trail and the Pacific Crest Trail. Also close by is the Santiam Pass OHV Motorized Recreation Area.
Big Lake Campground features 49 campsites along the lake's shore. Most sites can accommodate RVs, trailers, and tents, while 3 sites are designated for tents only. One site has a pull-through driveway. A surrounding forest of alpine fir, hemlock and lodgepole pine provides shade for many of the sites. Campers enjoy relaxing in camp with views of the lake and Mt. Washington before them.
