Schwarz Park Campground

Schwarz Park Campground is downstream from Dorena Lake, only five miles east of Cottage Grove. Dorena Lake and the surrounding area are popular for boating, water skiing, fishing, swimming, and hiking. Note that there is a warning that fish from the lake should not be consumed.

Schwarz Park Campground has 59 campsites for RVs, trailers, and tents. Several double campsites are available. The campground is along the Row River and is surrounded by a mixture of marshland, grasslands, and coniferous forests. A minimum 2-night reservation is required on weekends and 3 nights on holiday weekends. Alcohol is not permitted in the campground and surrounding Dorena Lake land. Schwarz Park Campground also contain 6 Group Campsites.

Note that Schwarz Park no longer accepts cash payments. All campground purchases must be by credit or debit card.

Within Schwarz Park Campground are 6 group campsites. Each campsite can accommodate up to 50 people and 25 vehicles. Group sites can be reserved up to 12 months in advance of arrival date.

Attractions and Activities

At Dorena Lake enjoy boating, water skiing, fishing, swimming, and hiking.
Hike along the Row River Trail. The 16-mile, multi-use trail connects Cottage Grove with Dorena Lake.
Tour the local historic covered bridges.
Play a round of golf at Middlefield Golf Course or Hidden Valley Golf Course.
Head to Baker Bay Park at Dorena Lake. Find 80 acres of parkland with a boat launch, a swimming by and boat rentals.

Key Schwarz Park Campground Regulations

Alcohol is prohibited at all U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Dorena Lake lands and areas, including Schwarz Park (Campground) and lease areas.
Campfires may only be in campground provided fire pits.
Dogs must be kept on leash and attended at all times.
Quiet Hours extend from 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM. No generators may be run during quiet hours.
