Kiahanie Campground is 24 miles north of Oakridge, along a fork of the Willamette River. Travelers to Kiahanie Campground enjoy driving along the West Cascades Scenic Byway as well as fishing, hiking, and cycling. Anglers should check special fishing regulations for the area at Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife.

Kiahanie Campground offers 19 campsites for RVs, trailers, and tents. The sites are spread through a lush forest of mature Douglas fir, maple, and sword ferns. All campsites are available first-come, first served.

Kiahanie Campground Location: Kiahanie Campground is on Aufderheide Dr. (Forest Road 19) north of Oakridge. From Highway 58 two miles west of Oakridge turn north on Westfir-Oakridge Rd. and follow for 1.3 miles to Westfir. Then continue straight onto Aufderheide Rd.

General Camping Information

Opening and closing dates of campgrounds are only estimates, usually dependent on weather conditions. Not all campsites can accommodate trailers or RVs of all lengths. Check carefully on the website when you make your reservation to be sure your vehicle will fit your campsite.

In order to prevent the spread of invasive insects, firewood from outside the area is not permitted.

Attractions and Activities

  • Enjoy the multi-use, 27-mile long Middle Fork National Recreation Trail.
  • Make the short hike up to the Huckleberry Mountain Lookout for wonderful panoramic views.
  • Enjoy boating, water skiing, fishing, and swimming at Hills Creek Reservoir.
  • Fish along the Middle Fork of the Willamette River.
  • Visit the Warner Mountain Lookout.
  • Hike on the Larison Creek Trail.
  • Drop by the Oakridge Greenwaters Park for a picnic and a stroll along the river.
