Sugar Pine Campground Directions
Exit 14 in Ashland off I-5, east on Highway 66 for one mile, then Dead Indian Memorial Rd. (Mountain Lakes) 17 miles to Hyatt Prairie Rd. Travel 5 miles to Dam Rd and take Dam Road to Sugar Pine Park.
Sugar Pine Group Campground is located at the southern end of Howard Prairie Lake, 28 miles east of Ashland. Jackson County operates 7 parks with campgrounds around the shores of the 2000-acre lake.
Campers enjoy a variety of activities at the lake, ranging from boating and waterskiing to swimming and fishing. Many good hiking trails are nearby, including the Pacific Crest Trail, which passes by Sugar Pine Campground.
Sugar Pine Group Campground is composed of 11 campsites, which combined can accommodate up to 150 people. A swim cove is only a short stroll from the camp. Facilities at the group site include a group fire ring, fire pits, BBQs, and horseshoe pits. The site is available for all kinds of groups from family reunions to wedding parties.
