Silver Falls State Park spreads over 9,200 acres - the largest state park in Oregon. The park is nestled in the Cascade Mountains, only 24 miles east of Salem, making it a popular destination for day visitors and for camping. Many come to view 177-foot South Falls, only one of the stops along the Trail of Ten Falls. Over 35 miles of trails are available for hiking, mountain biking, and horseback riding.
Silver Falls State Park Campground features 91 campsites. Water and electric hook-ups are available at 48 of the sites. The other 43 sites are designated as tent sites (may also be used by self-contained RVs). Tent sites are available from May through October. Eighteen of the hook-up sites are open year-round. The campground also has a Horse Camp and Group Camps. Fourteen rustic cabins are also available.

Silver Falls State Park Group Tent Campsites
Silver Falls State Park Campground offers 2 group tent campsites. Each site can accommodate from 9 to 50 people and 25 vehicles. Site A has 11 fire pits and Site B has 15. Showers are located 3 miles south in the main campground. Both campsites have full shade.
Fees: $71 per night for the first 25 people, then $3 per night for each additional person
Howard Creek Horse Camp
Howard Creek Horse Camp has 6 sites and is open from May through September. Five of the sites can accommodate up to 8 people each. Up to 4 horses/pack animals and 2 vehicles (one of which may be an RV) are permitted in each site. There is a fee for the 2nd vehicle. Four horse stalls are at each site. Water and chemical toilets are provided.
A group site is for from 8 to 24 people. A maximum 12 horses/pack animals are allowed in the group site and up to 6 vehicles. Three of the vehicles may be RVs. Twelve horse stalls are available. Water is nearby and chemical toilets are provided.

The campground has 14 Rustic Cabins available. The cabins can sleep between 6 and 8 people. They have electric heating and lighting. RVs and tents are allowed at some cabins, but not all. Each cabin has a futon and double bed. Some cabins also have a bunk bed. Visitors provide their own bedding. Cabins have a table, 4 chairs, and a fire ring. Pets are permitted in some cabins for an extra fee.

Explore over 35 miles of hiking, mountain biking, and horse trails in the park.
Hike the 7.2-mile Trail of Ten Falls for wonderful views of many of the park's waterfalls. Pass behind a curtain of water at South Falls.
Enjoy a playground, volleyball, and horseshoes in the day-use area.
Visit the South Falls Historic District, including the South Falls Lodge.
Children have fun at the Natural Play Area in the North Falls Day-use Area. Kids can climb a tree, hide in a bear den, and explore all kinds of natural wonders.
Swim in designated areas, such as the base of Upper North Falls.
Take the kids to Enchanted Forest along I-5 near Salem. Attractions include Storybook Lane, Tofteville Western Town, panning for gold, rides, and much more.

Campfires may only be lit in provided fire rings.
Purchase firewood in the park. Collecting firewood is prohibited.
Bicycle riders under the age of 16 must wear helmets.
Quiet Hours are from 10:00 PM to 7:00 AM.
There is a 5 MPH speed limit in the campground.
Pets must be kept on leash and attended at all times. At night they must be kept in a vehicle or tent. Pets are not allowed on the Canyon Trail (Trail of Ten Falls) nor in park facilities.
