Lost Lake Campground is near scenic Lost Lake in the Mt. Hood National Forest, 26 miles southwest of Hood River.

Visitors to the area enjoy 240-acre Lost Lake with its non-motorized boating, hiking trails, and fishing. Nearby Lost Lake Resort rents canoes, kayaks, paddleboards, and more. Breathtaking views of Mt. Hood are found all around the lake. Another attraction at Lost Lake Campground is the old growth boardwalk, an interpretive trail the meanders through one of Oregon's large, old growth forests.

Lost Lake Campground features 125 campsites for RVs, trailers, and tents. Some are hike-in, tent campsites. The campground has a minimum 3-night stay on weekends and holidays. Most campsites can accommodate between 4 to 8 people maximum, but a few are only for 2 people and some triple sites can hold 12 people and 4 vehicles. Some first-come, first-served sites are available. Camping fees are higher over holidays and on weekends. The campground also has 4 Small Group Campsites and 5 Horse Camps.

Lost Lake Campground Horse Camps

Lost Lake Campground has 5 Horse Camps. All of the sites are wheelchair accessible and each can accommodate up to 6 people and 1 vehicle. Each site has a horse corral, hitching post, fire pit, tent pad, and picnic table.

Site H5 is best suited for tent camping and will accommodate a trailer up to 20 feet long.

Lost Lake Campground includes several group sites. Group sites A6 and A7 are rated as double sites. Each can accommodate up to 9 people and 2 vehicles. Site A6 has 2 tent pads, and A7 has 3 tent pads.

Group Sites D19 and D21 can accommodate up 12 people and 4 vehicles. D19 is an ADA site with 3 tent pads, D21 has 4 tent pads.

Key Lost Lake Campground Regulations

  1. Fires are only permitted in designated fire receptacles and must be attended. Fires must be extinguished upon departure.
  2. Pets must be kept on leash and attended at all times.
  3. Quiet Hours extend from 10:00 PM to 8:00 AM.
  4. Prevent the spread of invasive pests by obtaining firewood locally. Wood gathering at the campground is prohibited.
  5. Secure food and scented items from bears.
