Camp Sherman Campground
Camp Sherman Campground is beside the Metolius River in the Deschutes National Forest, 16 miles north of Sisters. Fly fishing is very popular along the river, which is all catch and release territory. Hikers find a wide variety of trails through scenic terrain, from riverside trails to subalpine forests routes. Cycling is popular in the area, both along paved roads and mountain biking on forest roads.
Camp Sherman Campground has 14 campsites for RVs, trailers, and tents. One other site is designated for tents only. Most campsites can be reserved, but some are kept available as first-come, first-served sites. Some campsites have good shade. Five have pull-through driveways. The campground is open year-round, but during the winter and early spring there is no drinking water or garbage service.
